I have shared my home with Great Danes for almost thirty years. Presently I have three adults, "Gabriele" Islands Art "N Soul Von Bruno bred by Rob and Karen Sack, 8 years. "Britt" Castleon Sweet Revenge (My English Import) Bred by Lionel and Evelyn Webb and Laurence Morgan-Evans, 6 1/2 years old, and her daughter and son, 3 years old, Winsome's Foreign Jewel "Julia", and Winsome's Foreign Diplomat "Jackson". In September 2007, I lost our elderly Dane "Gretta Louise" Creeksides No Regrets, at 11 1/2 y/o bred by Jan Brungard.

Also in residence is my German Pinscher, "Candy Sue" Angelsun Oakwood Licoricetwist 6 1/2 years old bred by Heather Green and Kimberle Schiff.

I am a member of The Great Dane Club of America, The German Pinscher Club Of America, health committee (GPCA) , and The German Pinscher Club Of Canada . I am also a member of The International Society Of Glass Beadmakers.

I am retired from owning and managing a native plant nursery in Florida, HARD SCRABBLE FARMS where I specialized in native grasses, wildflowers and salt tolerant plants. I still do some consulting (mangrove systems ).The nursery was well known for MANGROVES a salt tolerant tree found in tropical zones around the world. I have shipped my plants to Saudi Arabia, Italy, Germany and many tropical islands where they were used for restoration and are on exhibit in Zoos and Aquariums. The Florida Aquarium in Tampa Florida has a mangrove forest that was contract grown and is more than 10 years old.

After living in Florida for 33 years I moved to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. I have a home studio, FEEL THE HEAT where I create my lampwork beads and jewelry.

Winsome Palm Tree - in ancient times a symbol of victory, peace, and resurrection or renewal, traveled with me from the old Winsome in Florida to the new Winsome in Virginia. It greets visitors to my mountain home.
